A former NHL player is not too pleased with the treatment he received from Air Canada while stuck at Toronto`s Pearson Airport.

Ryan Whitney, who played with four NHL teams during his career, uploaded a video of his harrowing ordeal to his Twitter account.

Whitney was attempting to travel from Edmonton to Boston on Sunday. His plane landed in Toronto where he spent 3 hours in line to get through customs only to find his connecting flight to Boston had been cancelled.

Then, after arriving four hours early for his re-scheduled connecting flight, Whitney says Air Canada told him they had booked him a ticket on a different flight – from Toronto to Montreal, where he would then connect to Boston.

Whitney says he did not take issue with the extra stopover. He was annoyed because he was not informed of the change with an adequate amount of time. The flight he was put on by the airline was scheduled to leave in less than an hour. As he had just arrived at the airport, expecting to fly in four hours time, he would not clear security in time to make his Montreal flight.

In a followup post on Twitter at 2pm ET on Monday, Whitney confirmed that he finally made it to Boston.
