Former U.S. President Donald Trump’s former White House counsel has agreed to appear for a private interview before the House committee investigating the January 6th attack on the U-S Capitol.
Pat Cipollone’s reported resistance to Trump’s alleged efforts to overturn his 2020 election defeat to Democrat Joe Biden has made him a long-sought after and potentially key witness.
An unnamed witness says Cipollone had given her direct warning that Trump was at risk of committing ”every crime imaginable.”
The 56-year-old Cipollone will be appearing under subpoena on video this Friday, but the interview will not be made public.
