The renovation will begin this winter and take place over this offseason and next with the aim to turn it into a true ballpark with modernized fan experiences and player facilities.
First phase will start in the 100- and 200 Levels of the outfield with ”social spaces” — patios, bars, drink rails and viewing platforms.
The bullpens will be raised and 100-Level seating will be moved closer to the wall bringing fans closer to the action.
Up in the 500 Level, two new ”social decks” be be added to left and right field and all the original 500-Level seats will be replaced.
Phase 2, which will be done after the 2023 baseball season, will focus on 100-Level infield seating with the addition of premium clubs at field level and social spaces.
Opened in 1989, the Rogers Centre; originally called SkyDome, is the seventh oldest ballpark in the majors, and just one of three multi-purpose stadiums left, along with those in Oakland and Tampa Bay.
