Gas prices have come down Thursday morning and will fall again Friday morning.
“Yes, we’re going to see a pretty substantial decrease,” explained Canadians for Affordable Energy President Dan McTeague, “We saw one today (Thursday), down 6 cents a litre. We’re going to see another one tomorrow (Friday), same amount.”
McTeauge says the total 12 cent decline will bring the average GTA price of gas to a $1.67.9 a litre.
The price of gas in the Greater Toronto Area has not been that low since April 13th.
McTeague says prices are going down because a U.S. report suggests demand is coming down. But he personally doesn’t think that’s the case.
A year ago, in August 2021, we were paying about $1.40 a litre for regular gas.
