A federal judge in Florida has unsealed documents related to an FBI search of Donald Trump’s Florida home that show documents labeled “TOP SECRET.”
FBI agents took eleven sets of classified records from the estate, binders of photos, a handwritten note and the executive grant of clemency for Trump’s ally Roger Stone. Also included in the list was information about the President of France.
The search warrant identifies three federal crimes that Department of Justice is looking at as part of its investigation including violations of the Espionage Act, obstruction of justice and criminal handling of government records.
Items removed include a list of documents marked
top-secret and sensitive – a classification reserved for information that could cause “exceptionally grave” damage to US security – according to the Wall Street Journal.
Trump denies any wrongdoing and claims the items were unclassified and safe.
