A new lawsuit is emerging over the late Paul Newman’s charitable foundation.
Two of the late actor’s daughters have filed a lawsuit in Connecticut alleging Newman’s Own Foundation improperly decreased its mandated contributions to the daughters’ own charities in half from $400,000 each per year to $200,000 a piece per year against their father’s wishes.
The foundation calls the lawsuit meritless and says
charitable organizations do not allow for perpetual funding allotments to anyone.
The profits are from “Newman’s Own line” of food and drink products.
