Toronto Police say they’re planning to have a book of condolence available to the public to mourn the officer killed on Monday in Mississauga.

A TPS spokesperson says people may sign the book for Constable Andrew Hong in person or online.

Constable Hong was one of two people killed in a series of shootings in Mississauga and Milton.

The other was Shakeel Ashraf, the owner of a Milton auto body shop.

(A photo of Shakeel Ashraf, 38, taken by Junaid Butt was seen on various social media tributes after the beloved auto body shop owner and father of two was killed)

The 38 year old father of two is being remembered fondly by many including his cousin Arslan Hanif, who says he doesn’t understand why the deceased suspect, who once worked at that auto body shop, would want to kill his cousin.

“As a criminal defense lawyer I’m always looking for a case’s motive. I just can’t find the motive especially from a person like Shakeel. He was a contributor to the community. He always contributed in many ways by giving his time, donating to charities, he was a gem,” Hanif told CP24.

Family members say that the suspect was hanging around at the auto body shop before Shakeel Asraf came back from lunch when Asraf was then shot and killed.
