Boris Johnson, former prime minister of the United Kingdom, has returned to Britain in preparation for a potential run for re-election.
Three months ago, Johnson was fired due to a slew of ethics problems, yet only days after his replacement, Liz Truss, abruptly resigned, Johnson took a flight back to London from his vacation in the Dominican Republic.
On Saturday morning, he arrived in London.
Although Johnson hasn’t formally declared his candidacy, several allies in the parliamentary party have been calling for him to run.
Tories need the support of 100 of their fellow lawmakers by Monday at 2:00 p.m., in order to run.
