Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre is doubling down on his “Justinflation” speeches in Question Period, accusing the Prime Minister for the latest bank rate which he says will cost thousands more for mortgages, loans, food and more.

“The former governor of the Bank of Canada, Mark Carney, says most of it is domestically generated inflation and this Prime Minister is responsible for that inflation, why won’t he take responsibility?” says Poilievre.

He asks “who should Liberals believe, their current leader or Mark Carney, the future Liberal leader.”

Justin Trudeau responded by saying Canadians will be getting double GST rebate over six months with a cheque arriving in the mail soon.

“Unfortunately, despite the Conservative Leader’s rhetoric, he is not supporting supports renters and dental care, why isn’t he supporting?”

The Bank of Canada raised its interest rates by half of a percentage point.
