Zoomers of a certain vintage may find this hard to believe but its been a full half century since Stevie Wonder re-defined pop music.
It was 50-years ago yesterday that Wonder’s seminal album “Talking Book was released and critics now say the album re-invented the sound of pop when Wonder accomplished everything he could on his own.
The album gave us “You Are the Sunshine of My Life” and “Superstition” which won the Grammy that year for Best R&B song.
“Talking Book” was the second album the now 72 year old released in 1972. “Music of My Mind” came out in March. “Talking Book” dropped October 27th.
