After two years of virtual editions, the Sundance Film Festival returns to Park City, Utah, with a diverse slate of features and documentaries premiering over ten days beginning Thursday.
There are documentaries about the war in Ukraine with “20 Days in Mariupol,” as well as stories about women in Iran, transgender people and films about indigenous communities, women’s rights and sexuality, Alzheimer’s, ableism and an unpunished war crime.
Festivalgoers will see some unexpected turns from stars, like Jonathan Majors, Daisy Ridley, Anne Hathaway and Phoebe Dyvenor.
There are also intimate portraits of famous faces like Michael J. Fox, Stephen Curry, Judy Blume, and Brooke Shields.
