Ontario’s integrity commissioner is being asked to give an opinion on Doug Ford’s actions related to the stag-and-doe event for one of his daughters, which NDP Leader Marit Stiles calls ”troubling.”
The premier’s already acknowledged that some developers, who are friends, attended the $150-a-ticket event, and media reports that lobbyists were also invited.
Ford had already asked the integrity commissioner for an opinion on the event and was cleared.
Stiles says in her letter to the commissioner, that several developers and individuals, who attended the wedding have received favourable Minister’s Zoning Orders, and at least one has benefitted from recent government policy changes dealing with the Greenbelt.
The premier was not in the legislature during Question Period to respond to the NDP leader’s questions, but Conservative House Leader Paul Calandra called Stiles’ complaint a ”drive-by smear.”
