Lenka Lichtenberg’s album Thieves of Dreams has won a Juno Award in the “global music album of the year” category.

The album is based on a series of poems written in a concentration camp during WWII about romantic love, betrayal and hopeful dreams of faraway places

The songs are sung in Czech Lichtenberg, the author’s granddaughter.

The main Juno Awards will be handed out tonight in Edmonton.
