T.0. ST. PADDY'S DAY PARADE SET FOR SUNDAY

While today is St. Patrick’s Day on the calendar, the annual Toronto St. Patrick’s Day parade is planned for Sunday.

There will be marching bands, extravagant floats and tons of Irish cheer as the St. Patrick’s Parade Society celebrates with an event running through the heart of downtown Toronto.

The parade will begin at 12 noon at the corner of St. George and Bloor St. West. It continues east on Bloor, then south on Yonge, west on Queen ending at Nathan Phillips Square.

The parade is expect to run for an hour and a half.

Road closures begin at 8 am and will be reopen once the parade rolls by.

The TTC subway will run as scheduled.
