June 1st arrived with dangerous heat and humidity, breaking a 75 year old record temperature of 28.3 set in 1948.

But if you’re not a fan of this weather, you’ll be happy to hear that this summer is expected to be cooler than normal with 30 degree temperatures in shorter supply this summer compared to previous years.

While will be fewer days over 30 degrees, the summer weather is expected to extend into September which is expected to be a hotter month than usual.

Experts call it come and go weather that will include stretches of hot dry weather along with blasts of cool unsettled weather. In Toronto and much of Southern Ontario, normal seasonal high temperatures are expteced.
