Pierre Poilievre says the Conservatives are willing work through the summer to change the Trudeau government’s budget.
”Let’s cancel the vacations (for MPs).  Let’s cancel the $60-billion or $4,200 per-family in inflationary spending,” adds the Official Opposition leader.
”And let’s get to work in ‘this’ house (pointing to the Commons chamber behind him) to save the houses of those Canadians who are up to their eyeballs in debt.”
But the budget bill has been passed by the House, and is now off to the Senate, where it remains to be seen if Conservatives there may try to hold up the legislation.
The Commons is scheduled to start the summer break June 23 and return September 18.
