It would appear Anthony Bass is done as a Blue Jay.
”We won’t stand in his way with another organization,” says General Manager Ross Atkin, shortly after he was removed the team roster.
While the team now has 7-days to bring him back, put him on waivers, trade or release him, Atkin’s comment suggests Bass is gone.
The move comes just hours before Bass was to catch tonight’s ceremonial first pitch on Pride Night at the park.
Bass says he stands by his ”personal beliefs” just over a week after apologizing for sharing a homophobic social media post.
That’s when he said he was ”truly sorry.”
The pitcher’s since taken the video down and deleted his Instagram account
But when asked before last night’s game if he thought the video was hateful, Bass said he does not.
