A legendary member of Toronto’s music scene has taken on a new project at the age of 92.
Howard Cable was musical director and conductor at the CNE Grandstand shows, as well as the Royal York’s Imperial Room, and worked extensively on CBC television.
Now he’s hard at work on orchestra and vocal arrangements for “Big Band Legends — A Trbute to Songbirds and Crooners” — an original production of the Drayton Festival. The show runs at the Huron County Playhouse from June 27th to July 14th.
