“Improving the lives of Canadians as we age” is a goal that’s being celebrated today in Barrie. That city’s CARP Chapter will raise the CARP “Flag” on the shore of Kelpenfelt Bay , with hopes of increasing the visibility of the Barrie CARP Chapter and their work in the local community, particularly, their advocacy work on seniors housing. The Mayor of Barrie has proclaimed this week as CARP Awareness Week. The Toronto area CARP chapters will have their flag raising at Toronto City Hall on October 1st in conjunction with National Seniors Day.
