Toronto’s Obsidian Theatre was the big winner at last night’s Dora Mavor Moore Awards.
The company won a total of seven awards for two productions: “Topdog/Underdog”, produced in association with the Shaw Festival; and “Caroline, or Change”, co-produced with the Acting Up Stage Company.
Theatre Passe Muraille took five awards for its production of “Crash”.
The Canadian Opera Company’s production of “Iphigenia in Tauris” won two awards in the opera division. And Queen of Puddings won Best New Musical or Opera for “SVADBA – Wedding”.
