One of the most influential women in Hollywood has died.
Author and director Nora Ephron died in New York last night of Leukemia.
She first burst onto the Hollywood scene with her script to “When Harry Met Sally”, which included a scene that has since become part of popular culture and gave us the line, “I’ll have what she’s having.”
Ephron also wrote the script for other films such as “Sleepless in Seattle”. Her last project was “Julie and Julia”, which she wrote and directed.
Ephron also wrote about her own life. The book and movie “Heartburn” detailed her dissolving marriage to journalist Carl Bernstein.
Nora Ephron was 71.
