A former city bureaucrat says we shouldn’t read too much into the departure of Mayor Rob Ford’s Chief of Staff.
Amir Remtoula is leaving after seventeen months to take up a position with the Pan Am Games. He is the third senior bureaucrat to leave Ford’s staff since he took office.
But the man who held the same position for former Mayor Mel Lastman says the job is a killer. Alan Slobodsky says burnout is a common factor in that job, and no one can do if forever.
