The Ontario Medical Association has launched a constitutional challenge in its ongoing labour dispute with the governing Liberals.
The O-M-A says it is hoping the Ontario Superior Court will reverse the government’s unilateral fee cuts.
The group that represents Ontario doctors walked away from talks after the province cut 340 million dollars worth of fees for doctors’ services.
The Liberals say the doctors want more money for salaries, which the province can’t afford while facing a 15-billion-dollar deficit.
