If your children are grown, you may’ve kept a childhood crib in the basement storage room in the event grandchildren will one day come to visit.  Turns out, that’s not a good idea.  A new warning from Health Canada advises not to use cribs that are more than 10 years old.

The federal health regulator says those cribs are more likely to have broken, worn, loose or missing parts, or missing warnings or instructions.

The agency previously instructed consumers not to use cribs manufactured before 1986.

Health Canada has developed a series of publications aimed at educating the public regarding the safe use of products intended for children.
