Zoomers will remember the early days of the Rolling Stones and maybe even today’s special anniversary.  It was 50 years ago the Rolling Stones played their first gig at London’s Marquee Club.   Christopher Andersen is the author of “Mick: The Wild Life and Mad Genius of Jagger”.  He says, “when he was 30 years old, Mick Jagger said I would rather die than be 45 and still singing Satisfaction.  And here we are, the 50th anniversary of the Stones is today.  Mick Jagger turns 69 in a couple of weeks and he’s still going strong.  So many of his contemporaries have self-destructed or faded away, to borrow a line from one of his hits, and Mick is still here.” To mark the golden anniversary, an exhibiton of photographs on the Stones’ long career opens today at Somerset House in London.
