Premier Dalton McGuinty will visit the community that was the site of Monday’s deadly shootings in Scarborough today.
McGuinty will tour the Boys and Girls Club in the Lawrence and Morningside area near Danzig Street, where two people were killed and more than twenty injured in gang-related violence.
McGuinty will meet with Mayor Rob Ford and Police Chief Bill Blair on Monday to discuss the violence. Leaders of the African-Canadian community say they must be included in any talks about ending gang violence.
Meantime, police have charged a 19-year-old man with reckless discharge of a firearm in the shooting.
