Something to consider if you work the night shift. A new large scale study in the British Medical Journal says working odd hours may raise your risk of heart attack and stroke.
It endorses previous research had suggested that working any irregular shift other than the traditional nine-to-five is linked to high blood pressure, diabetes and obesity.
Researchers analyzed the findings of some 3 dozen studies that included more than two million people who had work schedules including anything other than regular daytime hours.
They found that shift work was linked to a nearly 25 per cent increased risk of heart attack and a five per cent increased risk of stroke.
