Toronto’s mayor admitted himself to hospital last evening after feeling unwell.
Rob Ford has spent the night at the Humber River Regional Hospital in the northwest of Toronto. His press secretary says the mayor is currently under observation and is expected to make a full recovery.
The Mayor missed yesterday’s news conference marking the first day of private garbage pickup west of Yonge Street, one of Ford’s signature achievements.
This is not the first time Rob Ford has been treated in hospital since he was elected Mayor. In February of last year, he was treated for kidney stones. The Mayor was visited at the hospital last night by his sister, Kathy, and brother, Councillor Doug Ford.
