Oleh Valenyuk died unexpectedly recently at 48.

His death is believed to be heart-related, though the exact cause has yet to be determined.

Although much of his work was done for individuals, he was also commissioned by several major organizations.

He had helped redesign part of Casa Loma and created wall art at the Golden Lion Restaurant in Etobicoke.

Valenyuk painted frescoes for St. Mary’ s Ukrainian Catholic Church in Toronto and St. Basil Ukrainian Catholic Parish in Edmonton.
