MPPs are expected to vote early this week on legislation that imposes contract terms on the province’s teachers.   The minority Liberal bill would freeze wages for 2 years, cut benefits, put an end to cashing out of sick days on retirement, and ban strikes and lockouts.  The legislation will pass with the help of the opposition Progressive Conservatives.  PC leader Tim Hudak has expressed his support, but wants Premier McGuinty to go further by imposing similar contracts on all of Ontario’s public sector workers.
