It’s costing more to fill up at the pumps this morning. Regular fuel increased by 3.4 cents a litre overnight in Toronto to $1.36.8 a litre.
One gas expert says there’s no reason for the increase. Dan McTeague of tomorrowsgaspricetoday.com says market fundamentals are still good, there’s a lot of supply in the system, and demand is low. And he says, the high Canadian dollar should be able to offset any potential increases.
But it could be worse. Prices in Montreal spiked 13 cents a litre overnight to $1.53.
