EHealth Ontario is back in the news. A spokesperson with the electronic health registry says the board wants to cancel a 46.2-million-dollar contract with C-G-I Group to develop a diabetes registry.
Board members claim C-G-I has regularly missed development deadlines.
The final decision will be made by eHealth after consultations with Health Minister Deb Matthews, who says she’s aware of eHealth’s concerns.
EHealth and C-G-I announced a six-year deal in 2010 for the company to design, build and maintain a registry to monitor diabetes patients.
