Excitement is building for the 2015 Pan American Games to be held in the GTA and Hamilton.  The official groundbreaking event for the games’ largest sports venue takes place this afternoon at 1:00 at the University of Toronto Scarborough campus.  The aquatics centre and field house are the first olympic standardized pool and diving tank to be built in Ontario. The federal and Ontario governments are contributing $500-million dollars each for the Pan Am Games. The provincial government is also adding $22-million to renovate Hamilton’s Ivor Wynne Stadium, which will host some of the Pan Am events.
