Another reason to cut back on drinking as we age.

A new Canadian study suggests even moderate alcohol use may put older adults with heart disease or diabetes at risk of suffering from a form of arrhythmia.

Researchers say patients aged 55 and older are at higher risk of developing atrial fibrillation if their alcohol intake is moderate to high.

The study was conducted at McMaster University in Hamilton.
