The new producers of the coming Oscar ceremonies have chosen a new face to host the presentation.

Producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron have asked actor and producer Seth MacFarlane to host the awards telecast. MacFarlane is best known as the creator of the animated TV series Family Guy and American Dad.

Although best known for his comedy, MacFarlane also sings and dances. Zadan and Meron are musical producers, so music is expected to be a big part of the show. MacFarlane is also seen as an attempt to bring the awards a younger audience.

The Oscars will be given out February 24th.
