It appears no one is rushing to replace Premier Dalton McGuinty yet. But sources say at least one cabinet minister has made the decision to run.

Prominent Ontario Liberals are being very cagy about whether to enter the race to become the next Liberal Leader and Premier. No one has officially committed yet.

Yesterday, Economic Development Minister Brad Duguid became the latest to state he was not going to enter the race.

Former Cabinet Minister Sandra Pupatello is said to be seriously considering running. And there’s a report that Community Affairs Minister Kathleen Wynne has decided to run, but is waiting for the right time to make the announcement. For the record, Wynne says she is still weighing her options.

Any cabinet minister who does run will have to leave the cabinet. The Liberals will choose their next leader, and Ontario’s next Premier, in Toronto on January 25th.
