The classic tale of “Amahl and the Night Visitors” was brought to life Sunday night by Marilyn Lightstone of the New Classical 96.3FM. Marilyn was among the celebrity readers who performed with the Nathaniel Dett Chorale at The Church of St. Timothy’s in North York. “I love to do the holiday events. I love to work in the churches because usually it’s a benefit. And in this case, it’s for Stephen Lewis’ Grandmothers to Grandmothers Foundation, who does the most amazing work to combat the horrors of AIDS. Parents are gone and it’s left to the grandmothers to raise the children. Amazing things happen when people get together.”
You can also see Marilyn reading again this Sunday December 9th at the Church of the Redeemer at Bloor and Avenue Road, for the annual production of “A Christmas Carol”. There’s more information online at theredeemerdot c.a.
