Toronto has a White Christmas. It just arrived two days late.
The worst appears to be over, but roads are pretty treacherous in the city this morning. We’ve received about ten centimetres since last night.
But the city is on the case. A thousand workers were on call last night, and 200 salters are on the road this morning.
A special weather statement from Environment Canada referred to it as a “dangerous winter storm”.
The storm has caused delays and cancellations for air travelers. If you’re flying out of Pearson or Billy Bishop airport, check your flight status.
GO Transit is also reporting delays.
Areas to the east of us are still getting hammered. Environment Canada says the Kingston area could get 20-to-30 centimetres with poor visibility.
