The actress who played a single mother on the 1970s T-V sitcom One Day At a Time has died.

Bonnie Franklin,  was 69.

Her family had announced she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last September.

Franklin became a star in the series, as she played a divorced single mother raising two teenage girls, played by Valerie Bertinelli and Mackenzie Phillips.

The series ran on C-B-S for nine seasons.
