Marc Garneau took on Justin Trudeau in the fourth and second last federal Liberal leadership debate in Halifax, accusing the perceived front-runner of avoiding tough issues.
Garneau said while Canadians may not like what he has to say on certain things, they know where he stands.
Trudeau argued he’s been specific on some issues, citing his public statements in favour of legalizing marijuana as one example.
Several candidates also attacked Joyce Murray’s proposal to co-operate with the NDP.
Murray says she’s proposing a one-time pact with the NDP in the hopes of defeating the Conservatives in the 2015 election.
A final debate is scheduled for March 23 in Montreal before the Liberals choose their next leader on April 14.
