It’s an exciting day for children who’s parents are pulling them out of school to get an early start on a March Break vacation. Nearly 110,000 travelers are going through Toronto’s Pearson Airport today. A regular day sees just 87,000. Trish Krale with the Greater Toronto Airports Authority says, “go to the Toronto Pearson website and confirm the status of your flight. Get the information about check-in regulations; what you can put in your carry-on, what you have to put in your checked luggage, and how much time you should leave yourself for the check-in process. All that stuff,” she says, “is really great if you can educate and inform yourself at home and when you get here it helps the lines move more slowly and you just get through quicker.”
Once passengers in terminal 1 clear security, some will be offered live entertainment. Pearson has partnered with the Juno Awards to bring performances of past Juno nominees this afternoon. A music trivia game will also be played in terminal 3.
