Liberal M-P Marc Garneau doesn’t think Justin Trudeau can be stopped in the race for the party leadership and he is dropping out of the running.
Garneau says as an engineer, he believes in numbers.
He says he wanted to be the next leader of the party but internal polling made it clear to him the best he could do is a second-place finish.
Garneau says he’ll continue to be a loyal Liberal soldier and has thrown his support behind Trudeau.
The decision leaves seven candidates in the running.
