For the first time, Peterborough-based Trent University has named one of its own as chancellor.
Business expert and author Don Tapscott will take on the role as the Peterborough-based institution prepares to celebrate its 50th anniversary next year.
More than 84-hundred full and part-time students attend Trent’s main campus and a second location in Oshawa.
65 year old Tapscott also teaches at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management.
He says he expects to be at the Peterborough campus often and work with Trent alumni and donors in other parts of Canada and the world.
