The National Ballet of Canada is teaming up again with a British superstar choreographer.

Following the National’s hit production of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, the company is bringing Christopher Wheeldon and his team in to stage a new story ballet based on Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale.

As in the case of Alice, the new ballet will be a co-production with London’s Royal Ballet.

The Winter’s Tale will debut in London next Spring. The date of the Toronto debut hasn’t been announced yet.
