Toronto music lovers will likely think the federal budget is hitting the right note.
Massey Hall is getting $8,000,000 for renovations.
The historic concert hall is being made larger for the first time in its 119-history.
President and CEO Charles Cutts says the renovation won’t change the footprint of the stage or the original building. But it will allow improved handicapped access and other patron amenities. And it will enable improved loading and unloading of sets and equipment.
Cutts calls it a “fabulous opportunity for the future.”
