The power of theatre is being celebrated around the globe.
It’s World Theatre Day and Canada is joining more than ninety countries around the world in the celebration.
The special day was created in 1962 by the International Theatre Institute and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
Renowned Italian playwright, author and Nobel Prize winner Dario Fo has written the 2013 International Message.
it’s traditionally written by a theatre personality of world stature and translated into over twenty languages.
The message is published in theatre programs and newspapers and recited at events and theatre performances dedicated to World Theatre Day.
