Zoomers remember when that was a common admonition during their childhood.
Now some scientists say eye contact is becoming an endangered element during conversation.
Researchers at a company called Quantified Impressions say more people are staring at their smart phones instead of other people’s eyes during conversations because they’re afraid of missing out on something.
Experts warn wandering eyes show disrespect and say timing is critical with a three to five second gaze signalling respect and interest while a 10 second stare can be seen as aggressive or even creepy.
