Canada has generated more jobs than any time in the past decade.

Statistics Canada says the economy added a whopping 95,000 jobs last month.

It’s the first major increase for 2013, and many times greater than economists had expected.

The biggest job creation month since August 2002 brought the country’s official unemployment rate down one-tenth of a point to 7.1 per cent.

There’s even more good news when you sift through the details. All the the gains were in the private sector and in full-time employee positions. And there were gains in positions for young people.
