The Senate has passed a motion calling on the Aauditor General to investigate the way the Upper Chamber handles taxpayers’ money.
The motion has enough latitude that Michael Ferguson could examine every expense claim by every senator if he wants.
In recent weeks, confidence in the Senate has been shaken by expense claims from four members — Mike Duffy, Pamela Wallin, Patrick Brazeau and Mac Harb.

It has been learned that Wallin is listed as a resident of Toronto not Saskatchewan the province she represents in the Senate.
The information comes from corporate filings of Bay Street investment firm Gluskin Sheff and Associates.
Wallin was on the investment firm-s board of directors until last month.
