Sun seekers of all ages are celebrating Summer!  It arrived here in Ontario at 1:04 this morning.

In England, there was a pilgrimage to Stonehenge.  Some 20-thousand people have gathered at the famed monument to mark the summer solstice.  The annual event typically draws a wide and varied crowd to the mysterious set of standing stones.  The ancient stone circle is on the Salisbury Plain about 130 kilometres southwest of London. It was built in three phases between 3000 and 1600 B.C.

And in New York City, one of the busiest crossroads in the world will become a giant yoga class.  In a celebration of the year’s warmest month, the 11th annual “Mind over Madness” event in Times Square takes place from 7:30 this morning until 9 tonight.  Thousands of people are expected to roll out their yoga mats throughout the day.
